Bursting with energy and candescent colour, Volar dial in plenty of power and a generous lashing of head-spinning goodness with their ‘Axiom’ EP.
After the success of the track ‘Masakali’ on the Equanimity debut VA, they’re bringing back their collective spirit to the label with this four-track number.
‘Axiom’ delivers a strong entrance statement, with a powerful kicking bassline, brushes of bustling electro and hazy swirls which spin into the punchy chaos.
‘Caldera’ lends itself to an algorithm of natural textures, enticing melodies and progressive movement. Rolling like thunder, chains clink likegold as it speeds forwards, burns down and slowly rattles up to the final stop.
Playing once more with a steadily-build soundscape, ‘Inverse’ rolls through a more galactic cosmos this time - a cosmic universe of interplanetary melody.
A final journey with all cards thrown on the table sees ‘Veo’ turn up the heat, as it muddles together stiff dubs, a snappy bassline and shimmering hi-hats: all the perfect formula made to make you groove.
