YET MORE ‘BRENDA BRADLEY’ EP
Four unique tracks, for different moments in time: Yet More delivers ‘Brenda Bradley’, testifying his penchant for weaving distinctive samples into irresistible harmonies and groove.
Up first is the titular ‘Brenda Bradley’, which glides as smoothly as the name falls off the tongue. Joined by chunks of chaotic kicks which punch mightily, a solar-tinged melody gleans beneath the vocal sample to find ourselves stationed in a prime-time battle position.
‘Tango Inferno’ still displays Yet More’s inclination for playing with rhythmic vibrancy, but this time in a conspicuous manner: as the rolling bassline repeatedly freefalls, ultra-muffled voices delicately converse to each other as acidic glitches glow amongst the bouncing drummed groove - a sprightly tale of dancing with fire.
‘Don’t Grow Too Quick’ delivers a dreamy landscape, underpinned by a strong stomping riff for plenty of power. Yet, it’s the ultra-soft whispers of the worded sample and the haloed lullaby which create its ethereal stance for delicious euphoria.
Closing with an eerie and gloomy atmosphere, ‘Walk With Me’ struts us down a spooky atmosphere - high-tech, high pitched whirls circle and glitch as we walk forwards, but never look back.
