Innervisions Paris

Take the capital city of France, mixed with of a few of Innervisions firm and favourite artists in a unique, enthralling venue and what do you have? The label’s yearly show no less.

Like last year, IV are working in collaboration with local promoter HAIKU for the night, bringing their special touch to Paris for an intimate vibe all night. This year, however, the event is taking place in a new venue - Dock Eiffel. A modern complex, the building has been converted from 19th century brick warehouses. Stripped back, raw and somewhat mysterious, this is the perfect playground to play host to the Lambda Labs sound system. The night will be the first to use the brand new and dynamic ‘hornloaded QX series’. Powerful, yet acoustically on point, expect a sound experience that promises to deliver with every step of the journey.

Starting the line-up is one of the brightest stars of the moment - Trikk. Since releasing his debut EP, Florista, on the label in 2016, the Portuguese DJ and producer has built a solid reputation as one of the most consistent and intriguing DJs on Innervisions. If you’ve listening to his Secret Weapons 11 hidden mix, expect something of the same high-cabilbre; smooth, sophisticated and flawless.

As a French native and no stranger playing with the Innervisions crew, it only makes sense that Jennifer Cardini joins the bill on the 30th. She may have honed her art in the Parisian club, Pulp, but she’s spread her wings further all across the world, including Panorama Bar (Berlin), De School (Amsterdam) and Lux (Lisbon). And whilst she may reside in Berlin nowadays, her hometown set is guaranteed to be special, showing why she’s built such a solid and respected reputation for herself in the music scene.

Just like Cardini, Henrik Schwarz began his career in the city he grew up, where he also gained a reputable name for himself. Intrigued early on in his career with technological productions, Schwarz began to integrate this into his DJ sets in the nineties. As well as working with Innervisions, releasing iconic tracks such a ‘Where we at’ with Derrick Carter, he’s commissioned work for the Berlin State Ballet, the Philharmonie Luxembourg and worked alongside James Brown and Stevie Wonder to name a few. An all-round musical genius who breathes life into every production which will be evident with his special live set.

Bringing another varied and beautiful performance to this event will be Marcus Worgull. Musically opened minded, Worgull works with a mass of musical genres, including reggae, dub, ambient sounds, and of course, house and electronic - all of which are showcased on his last EP, ‘Broad Horizons’. As part of the Innervisions family, his release catalogue includes ‘Lenoix’ and ‘Muwekma’.

And for the finale, one third of the core Innervisions DNA. Dixon. He’s hardly a man who needs an introduction, as Resident Advisor’s number one DJ for four years in a row, whilst successfully nurturing his, Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann’s label to the success it is today. His DJ sets with partner Âme are always a musical force to be reckoned with, but his solo sets leave no table unturned, venturing down small paths and avenues you could never have dreamed of. In other words, a journey like no other. Expect nothing less for Paris.

Innervisions Paris takes place on Tuesday, 30th April at Dock Eiffel. Tickets are available from Resident Advisor.
